19. effective website december 16, 2009

Over the past decade we have become accustomed to using the Google search to find any information that we need. Yellow and white pages are becoming obsolete. How is your company reacting to this change? Do you have a web site? What is the performance of your web site?

Dan Kennedy, the owner of Summit Web Consultants, says that in order to know your website’s performance you have to measure the website. Dan recommends a very simple online tool called Google Analytics to analyze the performance of your website. Google Analytics will analyze your number of visitors, length of time that each site was viewed, conversion rate, geographical location of your guests, and where they are coming from. After analyzing these data you can determine if your current website performs to your needs and expectations.

If you found that your website needs an online marketing boost then there is a Google’s AdWords. AdWords help businesses drive traffic to their website. This is why we have a website where people can find us, allowing our firms to generate more business. Dan Kennedy recommends looking into AdWords as a more dynamic way of advertising.
